to focus on the whole rather than the parts.” Nanette Giacoma
Every day we are given opportunities to use our intuition personally and professionally, but many of us don’t really allow it to fully inform us.I love working with my intuition (third-eye chakra), but sometimes I have an easier time using it to work with my clients rather than with my own life and business. Even though I’ve done some pretty extensive intuitive training (I’m a Certified Master Intuitive Coach) I still struggle with three main issues. First, I let my thinking mind get in the way! Second, I try to take action before I’m completely clear of my next step (that gets me into trouble all the time). Third, there are times I don’t trust what I’m receiving. Which is pretty ironic, considering I’m always telling my clients to slow down and trust the process.
Because of my trust issues, I’ve not allowed my intuition to fully inform me when working on my own stuff. There are different types of intuitive knowing. They are called the “clairs.” The clairs are about how you receive intuitive information. There is clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance. You may already be using one or more of these. I easily tap into other’s emotional energy (clairsentience), I even download messages (claircognizance) for clients, however, when it comes to myself, I can struggle using my inner seeing (clairvoyance). Why? Fear!
When I was young, I had no tools to handle what I was receiving, and there was no one in my family who was able to help me with that – kind of like being a wizard in a muggle family. To keep safe, I hid what was innate to me. This has created a partial block in my sixth (third-eye) chakra when working on my own life and business.
So, I decided it’s high time I got some help and started working with an Intuitive Guide. She is helping me raise my vibration and learn how to clearly define the thread of my clairvoyance. I’m practicing allowing my intuition to fully inform me before I take any action. In particular, I’m energetically reconnecting my pineal gland (correlated with the sixth chakra) with my other chakras. It forces me to slow down and really track the energy as it moves through my body and out into the greater world.
I’m having such fun learning these new intuitive skills. It’s always worthwhile to add new tools to our intuitive toolboxes. What tools do you use to help you work with your intuition? Here are a few of my favorites.
Oracle or Tarot Cards
High Priestess – She reminds me to use my intuition, practice self-trust, and know I am my own best resource for wisdom.
Pendulum
Great for answering those yes/no; either/or questions.
Signs, Symbols and Dreams
Eagle – reminds me to take action from a higher perspective (stay out of the mental weeds)
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to relax and trust that the process is going to take you where you need to go. Trust that the information, the impressions, and the insights will serve you in your life and business. All it takes is a little practice – believe me I know!
With light and love
