Sitting in the Eye of the Lotus

Communing with your Higher Power is an important piece of tapping into

I tell my students and clients that when they see a symbol or sign three or more times, it is a message from their Higher Power and Spirit Guides, and they need to pay attention.

When I chose the image above and placed it on my vision board a month ago, I didn’t know what sitting in the center of the lotus blossom would mean for the future, only that it intuitively seemed like the right image.

Symbolically, there is a different lotus blossom for each chakra. The crown chakra is considered the thousand petaled lotus and refers to our infinite potential. The image of “me” sitting at the center of the crown chakra lotus is my commitment to trusting in my Higher Power as my guide on my personal and professional journey.

Since then, I have had several intuitive readings, some from others, and some by me for me. Some were with oracle cards, and some were with the reader’s intuitive vision. But, out of those readings the lotus blossom has shown up no less than ten times.

Yep! You know I’m paying attention!

So, what does the lotus symbol mean for me? Reading symbols is a bit like deciphering a dream. The dreaming mind is correlated with the sixth (third-eye) chakra, which also includes our intuition. Symbols, signs and archetypes are the language of the dreaming mind, which is always communicating with us intuitively – if we pay attention.

And since I’m taking Level 2 intuitive training right now, I believe my Higher Power is telling me to keep my third-eye chakra open and really pay attention to my intuitions, dreams, creativity and imagination.

I’ve been known to ignore my intuition in favor of “rational” thinking. Rational thinking is important, but it can steer you wrong. And this has been true for me on multiple occasions, and I usually end up right back where I started. Big Sigh!

New Year, New Vision, New Way of Moving Forward! I am using my intuition every step of the way this year. Which means, I have to slow down and do the inner work as I deliberately move forward with the guidance of my Higher Power.

I’m pretty sure I’m sitting in the third-eye of the lotus. My sixth and seventh chakra energies are merging to guide me on my soul path for the highest good of all.
