Becoming Resilient

Are you barely keeping it together? I know there are many days, I feel like one slight move, and my life will coming tumbling down into a big pile of chaos. Worrying about the future is especially destructive to my inner peace. What is your current situation?

You may be home schooling young children, while balancing your professional work. Perhaps you have been furloughed – worried and bored, you wonder what’s next. Or maybe you are one of the many soldiers in healthcare, or another essential business, that are helping to keep the rest of us safe. I am deeply grateful for your service!!

Each of us is being called to be present to what is going on in our lives in new ways: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. There is no one right path! Every situation is different.

That said, resiliency begins with acknowledging our current situation, and allowing ourselves to fully accept it.  As difficult as this is, it is an opportunity to become more mindful about our lives. It doesn’t require hours of meditation (although meditation will help), it’s about staying present to what is happening in your day. What do you need to pay attention to at this moment? I literally mean this very moment!

Notice where you are currently overcompensating or using avoidance behaviors. Often we try to balance our energy through these behaviors, but instead end up inhibiting the flow to our other chakras. How is your chakra energy flowing (or not)?

Are you spending your day zoning out on Netflix, electronic games, or other mind numbing activities? By disconnecting your mind from the present, your link to receiving energy and answers from your inner wisdom (sixth chakra) or your higher power (seventh chakra) is effectively shut down. And so is the information that could help you engage your personal power to take action (third chakra) in ways that will help you find solutions to combat your health, safety and money fears (first chakra concerns).

Or perhaps you are overdoing – this is a favorite way of dealing with uncomfortable feelings (second chakra) in Western culture. You are sooo busy “doing” (excessive third chakra energy) that you have no time to tap into your second chakra and really feel and accept your challenging emotions. The problem being, if you don’t allow your feelings, they will remain unchanged, and ultimately block your chakra energy flow.

By becoming more aware of your daily actions, you can improve your chakra energy. Awareness helps us acknowledge and accept what is. None of us do this perfectly. I don’t know about you, but my mind tends to take me on all kinds of day trips into my imagination, often down a dark path full of goblins and worst case scenarios.

The reality is we don’t have control of this situation. We have to accept what is, and stay present to what we need to do moment-by-moment for our safety, that of our families, and the larger community. By staying present, we improve our chakra energy flow, which increases our resiliency: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Sending all of you love and well wishes!

XOXOXO
Nanette

Living Life With Lynda
interview with the Chakraprenuer®

Sunday 11:00 a.m. EST
April 26th and May 3rd

Join me on Lynda Adam’s radio show Living Life With Lynda as we discuss chakras as they are interwoven into our personal and professional lives.Chakra energy expands into our minds, bodies, and souls and then moves out into the material world. Imbalances in our chakras can turn up in our personal and professional lives in the form of challenges, problems, and obstacles. By evaluating our chakras and the areas of struggle in our bodies and lives, we can find where we need to balance, and develop new behaviors to create health, wellness and the life we desire.
