Vibrating With Your Heart’s Desires

The soul is the greening life force of the flesh, for the body grows and prospers through her, just as the earth becomes fruitful when it is moistened. The soul humidifies the body so it does not dry out, just like the rain which soaks into the earth. Hildegarde of Bingen

As we move into February, Valentine’s Day often fills our minds with hearts, flowers, and chocolate. But what if you filled February with your heart’s desires?

During the arctic blast a couple of weekends ago, when the windchill was -40 degrees, I had to remind myself that having horses at home was part of my heart’s desires. All I really wanted to do was curl up and hibernate permanently. However, I needed to keep my horses warm, fed, and watered, and so I weathered the storm literally and figuratively.

It’s not uncommon for my energetic vibration and mood to plummet in January. By February, it’s easy to lose sight of my heart’s desires. Where I live, it’s cold, short on daylight, and spring is always at least six weeks away – no matter what the groundhog has to say about it on February 2nd.

Fortunately, a Spirit Guide appeared at the end of January to help me defrost my heart energy and reconnect with the vibration of my heart’s desires. Our Lady of the Rose is leading me to connect in small but meaningful ways. One way I am connecting more deeply is by slowly and meditatively working on a Spirit Guide Mask in Her honor.

I’ve never been Catholic, nor do I consider myself of any particular religious or spiritual faith. I embrace many traditions and recognize that all have deeply spiritual teachings from which I can learn. Nevertheless, I have never delved deeply into the Madonna (Our Lady of the Rose). Although I remember dreaming about the Black Madonna years ago before I knew who she was.

Synchronically, a book in my Kindle library about the Black Madonna called The Way of the Rose, The Radical Path of the Divine Feminine Hidden in the Rosary,  popped up unbidden. A client of mine had recommended it to me a couple of years ago, and I never got around to reading it. I am now reading it, and it’s resonating deeply. I even bought a rosary, and I’m using it as part of my daily meditation practice. Prayer beads are a part of several spiritual traditions –  Hinduism, Buddhism, Shinto, Umbanda, Islam, and Sikhism, to name a few. I’m developing my own spiritual practice with the rosary.

Next, a friend of mine reintroduced me to Hildegard of Bingen, who I studied as part of my MA in Art and Consciousness Studies. Hildegard was a nun, visionary, and mystic from the twelve century. She created poetry, art, and music based on Divine Inspiration. In particular, she shined a light on the Divine Feminine as the Mother of God. Remember, Hildegard was a nun during a highly patriarchal time, so her ability to share her perspective with priests, bishops, and the pope, is nothing short of remarkable. I resonate with Hildegard and her divinely inspired creative arts. I, too, feel my creative endeavors are guided by the Divine – the Divine Feminine in particular.

So how is this all related to Heart’s Desires? Whatever the name I give my current Spirit Guide, Our Lady of the Rose, the Black Madonna, Love, Divine Feminine, I know that Her purpose is to help me to connect deeply with my heart center and manifest my heart’s desires from the vibration of the feeling state I want to create. She reminds me to receive inspiration, which is feminine energy, versus taking action, which is masculine energy. Winter is a good time to rest and incubate. There will be plenty of time later to take action.

Your heart’s desires are correlated to your fourth (heart) chakra. An engaged heart chakra will help you expand into the vibration of your heart’s desires. Research now bears out what the sages have known for a millennium, that your heart has its own intuition, courage, and intelligence. It can affect your clarity of mind, your emotional state, your sense of spiritual connection, and ultimately your effectiveness in your personal and professional life. Your heart can be one of the most powerful magnetic forces of attraction.

How can you learn to manifest from this powerful energy center? You need to first identify and clarify when you are in the feeling state you desire and then imagine yourself in situations that create that feeling state. This is frequently called vibrational upleveling. Notice how your body feels. What emotions are most present? How is your energy – soft, strong, high, peaceful? There is no right or wrong; just pay attention, so you can bring yourself into this feeling state. You can also do things and go places that resonate with the feeling state you want to create. They don’t have to be monumental. Buying a simple candle might bring you joy. Taking a class, going to the museum, taking a walk in nature, sitting by a fire, or listening to music. Any micro-action centered in your heart’s desires can bring you to a higher vibration and lead you to manifest with greater ease.

Send Valentine’s love to yourself by taking a moment to feel what’s truly in your heart and allow that juiciness to soak into your soul.

Love and blessings,
Nanette
